Hello SMB Students & Parents,
We have a full slate this week with rehearsals, a community performance, a pep assembly, seniors being recognized at this Friday’s football game, and a competition on Saturday.
On Wednesday, we are giving a community performance at 8:15pm. All friends of the program are welcome to come watch. The performance will be short and sweet.
Now, here are our itineraries in reverse order:
Saturday, October 29 – Hillsboro Stadium Schedule TBA
I will send another email tomorrow with our schedule for the Century Competition hosted at Hillsboro Stadium.
Friday, October 28 – Football Game
Wear Show Shirts to School
4th/5th Period – Get music Stands out to bleachers.
3:45 – Upper Field Rehearsal – Warmup, On & Off Process Reviewed – Chunk Through Show. Front Ensemble Warmup in the Band Room.
4:20 – Transition back to band room (Freshmen/Sophomores Juniors clean up field)
4:30 – Dinner (Seniors through first). Everyone chills out. No playing, drumming, spinning. Conserve Energy.
5:00 – Seniors Uniforms on
5:30 – Seniors to Field for Recognition
5:45 – Seniors Recognition (Freshmen/Sophomores/Juniors on Terraces cheering for Seniors)
6:00 – Freshmen/Sophomores/Juniors Uniforms on
6:30 – Line up to go outside
6:35 – Winds/Guard/F.E. go to Bleachers
6:45 – Drumline staged to lead team to field
6:55 – National Anthem & Fight Song
7:00 – Game Starts
* 2nd Quarter – Colorguard/Front Ensemble/Microphone Soloists leave stands to prepare for half time. Also, Pit Crew Volunteers go to band room.
* 3rd Quarter – with 2:00 remaining on game clock, be back in bleachers and ready to play.
9:20 – Approx. Game Over/Check-in Uniforms/Packup/Cleanup
9:45 – Go Home
Friday, October 28 – All School Pep Assembly – SMB WW/Brass/Drumline Members Only
9:05 leave 1st period class and come to band room for warmup/setup.
*Teachers have been given a roster of those to be excused
Wednesday, October 26 – COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE NIGHT – Stadium Field
5:30 – Independent Schedule for Winds, Drums, Guard – Work on Getting Field Setup
6:30 – Full Ensemble
8:15 – Welcome & Community Performance
8:30 – Meet center field for Debrief.
8:45 – Packup & Go Home
