Dear Band Directors & Students, I’m here to remind you that this year’s Music Education Assistance Project private lesson grants deadline is fast approaching. Over the years, MEAP and the musicians of the AFM Local #99 have given out thousands of dollars to talented and financially in-need students in the public band and orchestras from their jurisdictions. If you have a student who fits this description, please encourage them to apply for funding!
Applications are available in English and Spanish on our website: www.MEAP99.org and can be easily downloaded. The deadline for application packets is a HARD November 21st!
I’ve also attached a flyer regarding Flute Alliance’s upcoming Holiday Flute Ensemble for any of those flutists in your groups who just can’t get enough of playing holiday music. It’s a ton of music in a fast turn-around with a fun day of performances including in Pioneer Square.
