Marching Band & Colorguard 2020 Info Meeting

Dear 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th Grade Band Parents & Students,

I hope this email finds you all as well as possible. Here is the Marching Band Info Meeting Video

This video contains the information we typically present during the first 30 minutes of our info meeting. It is designed to help you understand what marching band is all about, where to find info, and how to register for the marching season. The word for this fall is “Flexibility”. We are still trying to figure out the best way forward while planning this season and we will know more a little further down the road.

We will still be having our Tuesday, June 9th Google Meet SMB Info Meeting at 7:00pm. I already sent out the calendar invite for that; if you need me to resend just let me know. In this meeting we will explain the process for deciding this year’s show and do a Q&A. The initial portion will last for about 15 minutes and the Q&A can go on for a while after that for those who want to stay online and ask questions.

Google Meet Housekeeping

·         Stay on mute (unless talking)

·         Feel free to type questions in the chat window

·         Questions can be directed at either Band Director (Brant Stai), Booster President (Lennae Bishop), or Marching Band VP (Ken McCoy), or Secretary (Tina Brannan).

·         Many of the basic questions will already be addressed in the info video.

Also, attached to this email are a handful of useful info documents. Yes, it is a ton of info so feel free to digest at your convenience.

Marching Band & Colorguard is one of the greatest things at Sherwood HS your students can do. They have four years and then opportunities like this disappear forever. Come join our marching band and colorguard family!
