Urgent Help This Saturday, March 4

Band families, the winter percussion season is well under way for the year.  We are facing a great “problem” in that the program is growing and thriving to the point that it takes almost the same amount of volunteers for competition days as marching band!  Parents, we need your help!  If the show will be able to go on, it takes parent volunteers.  The directors and students are working hard to have their show ready, and as parents we need to assist with getting them there.  I am attaching the volunteerspot for Sherwood Percussion Ensemble (SPE), Sherwood Cadet Percussion Ensemble (SCPE) and Sherwood Winter Winds. There are many spaces to fill for parent volunteers to make these competitions happen.

One Spot that is open for the all THREE upcoming Competitions is pulling the band trailer.  The next competition is this Saturday, March 4th and only the High School Percussion Group is performing (SPE).  This competition is unique because it is on the same day as the Solo and Ensemble Festival.  We desperately need someone with a 3/4 ton pick-up to pull the trailer first to West Linn High School for the Solo and Ensemble festival.  Then in the early afternoon, the trailer will need to be pulled to Evergreen High School for the competition, then returned to SHS after the event is over. If you have a truck and you could help us, please sign up on volunteerspot and/or respond to this email! (If you have never pulled the band trailer before, I will instruct you on the steps necessary to file your insurance with the SSD Bus Barn, it is simple and quick!)  If we cannot find a driver for these next three competitions, we will not be able to perform.  Thank you for taking time out of your schedules to support your students in their band endeavors.
