Good evening band families, welcome to an exciting new school year! Here is some information for Concert attire for your student. Please take time to ensure that your student’s attire fits or be prepared to order attire for band.
GIRLS concert attire:
For any girls needing to order a concert dress, Mrs. Bishop will be in class on Friday, 9/16 for you to try on a sample dress for size and get your dress ordered. For returning students, please make sure you try on your concert attire before Friday to make sure it still fits, Mrs. Bishop will check with you to verify that you do not need to order. If you do need to order a dress, please bring a check made payable to Sherwood Band Boosters for $72 so that we can place the order for your concert dress.
BOYS concert attire:
Band apparel fittings for boys will be held at Remington’s CTR Clothing (15862 SW 72nd Avenue, suite 100, Portland).* Any new or veteran male band participants needing apparel please go to http://signup.com/go/GWEUHT to sign up for a fitting appointment which will be offered as follows:
Saturday, October 1 5:30pm to 8pm
Thursday, October 6 5:30pm to 8pm
Payment will be due to Remington’s CTR at the time of your fitting. All apparel will be picked up for you and brought back to the school for distribution to the students once alterations are complete.
*If your student only needs a vest or shirt from Remingtons, Mrs. Bishop will have shirts and vests in class on Friday 9/16 to try on and they can be ordered and paid for during class. These students do not need to sign up for a fitting at Remington’s.
All boys are required to wear a black belt, black socks and black shoes in addition to the apparel items outlined below.
