Drumline Parents & Students, the KATU Blitz program has decided to broadcast a pep rally from our SHS gym at 11:30pm on Friday after the game. In order to keep band day in tact and relatively unaffected, I’ve decided to do the following:
- Only the drumline will attend the pep rally after the game. All Band, Front Ensemble & Colorguard members will leave after the game so that they can go home and get rest in order to make the 8:45am call time for band day Saturday.
- Drumline can hang out in band room after game. Take a nap, read a book, bring a game to play. They will need to setup in gym at 11:00pm. Broadcast is at 11:30pm.
- Since the drumline is putting in a longer night, I am pushing back their band day call time to 11:00am on Saturday in the band room. They will be performing in Walmart parking lot from 12pm-3pm for Band Day.
This is the best solution I could surmise and I think is a win-win for our program and school. Please contact Mr. Stai with any questions.
