Dear Marching Band Students & Parents, I hope everyone is looking forward to a well-deserved Thanksgiving week. The Sherwood Tree Lighting Parade this year is Saturday, December 3. We will be wearing black uniform parkas (provided) and Santa Hats (not provided) for the parade. Portable LED lights and other decor is also optional if students what to get extra festive. Below is the itinerary, as it stands, for that afternoon. Please let Mr. Stai know if you have any questions.
Christmas Tree Lighting Parade – Saturday, December 3
2:15pm – Call Time/Put on Marching Parka
2:30pm – Meet in Band Room
2:40pm – Warmup
3:15pm – Load Trailer, Buses & Depart from SHS
- Winds – No cases come with us on the bus.
3:35pm – Arrive at Kohl’s Parking Lot & Unload (Buses/Trailer go and park at Hawksview).
3:45 – Lineup
4:00 – Parade Begins
4:40 – Parade Over/Walk back to Hawksview Elementary/Load Equip/Bus back to SHS
5:15 – Turn in Parka/Cleanup
- Make sure all areas used are clear.
- Wipe down wet instruments, let air dry
- Dry out silks in Auditorium Hallway
5:30 – Estimated Time Students will be done
