Hello Jazz I, Here is information and an itinerary for the OMEA State Jazz Festival.
Performance Location – Mt. Hood Community College in the College Theatre
Tickets: Each school will be allowed free access for their directors, all participating students, and two chaperones. Any friends or family who wish to attend may purchase tickets for $5/each per day. Kids under 12 years of age are free. Parents – Is anyone able to capture Saturday’s performance on video? If not, I’ll try to capture it myself.
*Pit Orchestra Musicians – Make sure you have a change of clothes (if you want, optional) and a plan for dinner. Call time for the pit orchestra is 6:00pm.
Itinerary:
9:30 – meet in band room
10:00 – load bus
10:15 – Depart
11:30 – listen to Roseburg HS
11:55 – listen to Mountainview HS
12:30 – Eat packed lunch
1:10 – Get equipment ready/head to warmup room
1:30 – Warmup
1:55 – Performance
2:20 – Put equipment away
2:45 – listen to David Douglas HS
3:10 – load bus and return to Sherwood
4:10 – Arrive at Sherwood and unload bus
