Dedicated SHS Band Musicians Seeking a Challenge – Music & Info for All-State AND All-Northwest Auditions (Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra) are as follows:
Band & Symphony Orchestra – Winds & Percussion Audition Materials
You’ll notice that all music is online and synced with the WMEA website. Auditions for both ALL-NW & All-State are identical. See Mr. Stai if you need him to print you a hard copy. This is a great opportunity for all dedicated musicians to submit a recorded audition. It will be even more of an opportunity if you get into an ensemble and have the opportunity to play under a guest conductor with the other top musicians in the state of Oregon and in the Northwest.
RECORDINGS ARE DUE TO MR. STAI BY SEPTEMBER 28TH SO HE CAN SUBMIT THEM ALL AT ONCE ONLINE PRIOR TO THE OCTOBER 1ST DEADLINE. This is always a data-entry time consuming process for Mr. Stai, so on time, well labeled and organized is appreciated and ensures that audition will be submitted correctly.
The cost to audition for All – NW is $20. The cost to audition for All-State is $13.
Audition Fees must be paid to Debi Bear in advance of September 28th date and the receipt must be handed directly to Mr. Stai. Please let Mr. Stai know if you have any questions.
If submit auditions to both All-State and All-NW and you make it into multiple groups, you will need to select one group to participate in. Cost for All-NW is approx. $410. Cost for All-State is approx. $375.
All-Northwest/All-State occurs in Portland, Oregon February 15-17, 2019.
