Hello, you are receiving this email because you have either played in our band in years past or recently signed up to play this year. My name is Brant Stai and I am the director of the Robin Hood Festival Parade Marching Band. The Robin Hood Festival Marching Band is an excellent opportunity for all community members to participate in a musical marching ensemble and share their music making with the Sherwood community. We believe that we should have as many community members involved as possible; our motto is “the more the merrier”.
This year we will be playing two songs: “Hooked on a Feeling” and “Main Street America”. I’ve attached music for both tunes for Woodwinds & Brass to the RHFMB webpage https://sherwoodbands.org/robin-hood-festival-parade-band/
I will post percussion parts soon. Make sure you print your part only.
T-shirts and hats will be provided. If you need a t-shirt, please e-mail me your size. We ask that you wear a khaki-colored type of shorts or pants, your favorite athletic shoes, and then we will have t-shirts and hats for you.
The parade is Saturday, July 16th in Sherwood. Call time will be announced at rehearsal.
Rehearsals will held in the Sherwood High School Band Room at 6:30pm on Monday, July 11th, Wednesday, July 13th, and Friday July 15th. Please plan on attending at least 2 of these rehearsals.
