The Sherwood High School Band & Colorguard put on some incredible performances Friday & Saturday.
On Friday, the Wind Ensemble played a sophisticated set of musical literature and qualified for the 6A OSAA Band Contest with flying colors. Very proud of that performance. A big thank you to the parents who helped transport equipment and showed up to cheer us on.
On Saturday, our Sherwood Percussion Ensemble, Winter Guard, Middle School Winter Percussion, and Winter Winds put on some fantastic artistic display at the Sherwood Winter Showcase. Placements were: SPE 7th/3rd place, Guard 3rd place, MS Percussion 1st place, and Winds 1st place.
The winter showcase ran smoothly and all of the credit goes to Leslie Kolb and her team of dedicated volunteers for giving students in the NWAPA a circuit a great venue to perform. Thank you volunteers & students for making this happen. I/We are very blessed to work with and around so many logistically savvy and talented booster related event coordinators and planners. The Sherwood Band has some impressive supporters; thank you times infinity.
Parents, if you have good pictures or video of our kids in performance from the past couple of days, please send them Mr. Stai’s way!
