Today’s lesson in band class is the following:
IF IT’S NOT YOURS, LEAVE IT ALONE
No student may play any school-owned instrument, including all percussion instruments, unless assigned to the instrument.
IF YOU USE IT, TAKE CARE OF IT
All instruments, chairs, stands, accessories, etc. should be treated with care. Do not lean on stands, lean on backs of chairs, mistreat any equipment, or use equipment in a manner for which it is not intended.
IF YOU TAKE IT OUT, PUT IT AWAY
All instruments, sticks, percussion accessories, etc. must be put away at the end of rehearsals or lessons. All percussionists must help put away ALL percussion equipment after rehearsals and lessons.
IF YOU MOVE IT, PUT IT BACK
This is self explanatory.
