Dear Band Parents, Camp is off to a great start! Your students are working their tails off and are making their staff very proud of their effort & performance already. As a reminder, finalized dates for performances, rehearsals, fundraisers were published a little while ago. Looking for additional Colorguard members – We have an incredible colorguard this year taught by an incredible staff. We need more guard members lighting up our field with color and dance! Please contact Mr. Stai or Mrs. Jack if you know someone who is interested in joining.
Staff Rally – August 31st – Every year our marching band is invited to perform in front of all school district staff at our annual staff rally in the SHS Main Gym. This year’s staff rally is Monday, August 31st. Marching Band Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion need to be at SHS at 9:15am that morning. We should be done at approx. 10:45am. Students will have a lunch break from 10:45-12:00 with our Noon-5pm rehearsal commencing at Noon.
Premier Performance – September 2nd – We have our “Danze Passione” premier performance at 7pm. on Wednesday, September 2nd here on the SHS Main Field. All family & friends are invited!
Marathon – Marching Band is a marathon the begins in August and ends on October 31st. Students need to continue hydrating and eating healthy. Get rest as often as our hectic schedules allow. Students owe it to themselves and their section to take good care of their mind and body! We need them on the field ready to rehearse & perform!
