Rose Parade Band & Colorguard – Saturday, June 6th – Rose Parade Itinerary
Reminders: Bring Sack Lunch for Bus Ride, Extra Water, Black socks & Black Undershirt.
- 8:00am – Call Time in Band Room & Put On Uniform
- 8:45 – Load Bus
- 9:15 – Depart – Hand out Snack at 1pm.
- 10:05 – Arrive & Setup
- 11:10 – Parade Start
- 2:00 – Estimated Arrival at parade disband area, Load Buses
- 4:00pm – Estimated Arrival at SHS
Parents – We have been coaching up the kids for weeks both in class and in parade rehearsal regarding getting rest, hydrating, and taking care of their bodies. Students are responsible for showing up on parade day with a “full tank,” which means having hydrated, eaten well, and then snacking on the bus ride over to the parade. During the Parade, we have a group of parents who will be dispersing water to our parade ensemble throughout the course of the parade. Thank you those who volunteered and to the boosters for setting this up. Once we’ve arrived at the end of the parade route, we will have gatorade bottles waiting for students on the bus.
Trying to predict our arrival time back at SHS is tricky but my best bet is 4pm.
For those who are interested in watching us on TV, the band steps off at 11:10am.
