The State Contest for Small Ensembles is Friday, May 1st at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Schedule is as follows:
- 1:20pm – SHS Horn Quartet – Jefferson – Room 308
- 2:20pm – SHS Percussion Duet – Music – Room 120
- 3:20pm – SHS Woodwind Quintet – Music – McCready Hall
- 4:30pm – Awards Ceremony – McCready Hall
From the Festival Coordinator…
Percussion Room will provide the following instruments:
- Bass Drum
- Tam Tam
- 4 Timpani (23-26-29-32)
- xylophone
- vibes
- marimba
- chimes
- bells
If you will require other instruments, you will need to bring. No mallets/sticks will be provided.
Please have your students report to their performance room chairperson at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled performance, to give that chairperson the 3 original judges scores. Pacific University website has a good map of the campus (including UCC church).
The awards and trophy presentations will occur right after competition ends (at 4:30) in Building 10, McCready Hall. Please have your groups plan to attend.
