Huge congrats & kudos to our Sherwood Band Students who performed on Saturday at the OMEA District 14 Solo & Ensemble Festival. We had 52 performances happen throughout the day in all! I was racing around the entire day trying to catch as many as I possibly could. What I saw and heard was that our Sherwood Band Family 1) Demonstrated huge musical improvement between last year and this year, and 2) The biggest and best takeaway of the day was the fact that had so many Sherwood Musicians supporting one another. The Sherwood Band Family was cheerleading each other on and that was the best music to my ears. Also, a big thanks to Cameron Jerde, Brian Banegas, Mike Dyer, Nathanael Ankeney, and Dani Aldinger for being there to support Team Sherwood throughout the day. Congrats to all! I will have packets to hand out on Tuesday in class. Below are OSAA Qualifying results.
