Thursday, May 29th 6:30pm – Fall 2014 Marching Band & Colorguard – All Members Meeting – at Laurel Ridge Middle School. We will talk about the marching calendar from June thru November, fees, what to expect, and unveiling the 2014 competitive marching show.  This is a mandatory meeting and it will be held in the Laurel Ridge Middle School Commons area.

No Starlight Parade this year. We will be taking on a larger leadership role in the Robin Hood Festival Parade.  Because the Sherwood HS Band performed in the Starlight Parade last year, we were not accepted into the participating group this year. We will try again next year.

With lemons comes some lemonade, some of the SHS Marching Staff will work toward taking over the leadership role from Kevin Noreen with the coordination of the Robinhood Festival Parade Band. The parade band will still be a “come one, come all” ensemble that is open to all middle school and high school band members and community members with instrumental experience. We will have three rehearsals leading up to the parade. Band members are encouraged to participate if they wish to do so.
