Sherwood High Choir and Band will be traveling to Seattle this spring. We look forward to traveling as a music department and participating in the Heritage Festival. The experience will be one the students will remember for a lifetime.
The trip is scheduled for April 5-7th, 2013. The cost of the trip is $320 per student. The total cost will cover:
- EMP museum ticket
- University of Washington clinic
- Heritage Festival fee
- Broadway or Orchestra ticket.
Due to the nature of the competition portion of the trip, it is important to have all members of the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band participate. If your family foresees financial hardships, please contact Mr. Petrik to help find a solution to ensure your students participation.
Please take note that parental consent is needed for students to attend Jersey Boys, as this musical is PG13. Check out the 5th Ave Theatre website for more information regarding Jersey Boys.
The form(CLICK HERE), along with the initial payment of $50 will need to be turned into Debi Bear by January 11th. Payments can be made with credit card through the Sherwood High School website. Band students can request to use monies from their booster student account. After the signed form and first payment is received, students are committed to the trip at all costs.
A parent information meeting is scheduled for January 8th at 5:30pm in the band room.
