SUNSET CLASSIC THIS SATURDAY

Our first competition is this Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium. For some, this is your first experience with what we call Marching Band Festivals! Festival days are so much fun but are a full day event. Below you will find information to help guide and keep you informed with what will happen this week to prepare for this event and the actual event day. THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE

TUESDAY 

  • 7AM sectionals

WEDNESDAY

  • 6-9pm rehearsal

THURSDAY

  • 7am sectionals determined by section leaders

FRIDAY

  • 3-4pm music rehearsal
  • 4:45pm rehearsal on football field
  • 7:30pm load trucks

SATURDAY

  • 9:00 Hair/uniforms
  • 10:00 Buses Depart
  • 10:55 Arrive @ Hillsboro Stadium
  • 11:00 Unload & Eat snack
  • 11:30 Split Warmups (Drums, Guard, Band)
  • 12:35 Ensemble Warmup
  • 12:55 Pit Departs for Gate
  • 1:05 Ensemble Departs for Gate
  • 1:10 Performance
  • 1:40 Lunch
  • 5:00 Finals start
  • 10:30 Depart to SHS

FOOD

  • please be sure to have your student eat a substantial breakfast before arriving at SHS
  • have your students bring additional snacks if needed
  • pack a water jug
  • We will provide:
    • mid morning snack
    • lunch
    • dinner

ATTIRE

DONT FORGET BLACK SOCKS AND SHOES!

Students should wear shorts/underarmour/show shirt  underneath their uniforms. All students should pack additional clothes appropriate for the weather. We will be watching bands from the stands and will be outside all day. BE PREPARED!
