About Us
Sherwood High School, located just southwest of Portland, Oregon, takes pride in a comprehensive band program with numerous ensembles, including three Concert Bands, two Jazz Bands, a Jazz Combo, a Marching Band, a Winter Percussion ensemble, a Winter Guard, and a robust Chamber Ensemble program.
The Sherwood band program strives to create memorable musical performances and make a lasting artistic impact on our schools, community, and musicians. Our priority is to help our students become great people as they develop great musicianship.
While the focus of the band program is music education, we also compete at festivals and competitions both regionally and nationally.
Our band program is supported by our Sherwood Bands Booster Club, comprised of parents, guardians, friends, and alumni. They dedicate their time and expertise to our band programs at the middle and high school levels through volunteering, fundraising, and promoting appreciation and interest in the band program among the surrounding community and businesses.
